Six candidates have tossed their hats in the ring for the annual Englewood Pioneer Days Mayor for a Day fundraiser.  These wonderful caring citizens have volunteered to spend their own time in the heat of the summer campaigning to raise funds for their local charities.  They all deserve your support and admiration.  Remember, each dollar they collect counts as one “vote” and 100% of all funds will be donated to their charities.  The new Mayor will be announced Saturday August 31st, at the Pioneer Days Cardboard Boat Races, which begin at 10 a.m. at Ann and Chuck Dever Memorial  Park on San Casa.  The winner will also ride in the Pioneer Days Parade on Labor Day Monday.

You can donate to any or all of the candidates and there is no limit as to how much you can give.  Every one of these charities is supporting our local community and providing services to those in need.  They are protecting our families and children and deserve everyone’s support.  Please show how generous the summertime residents of Englewood can be.

In the race are
Candace Stevens, owner of Wiseguys Barbershop in Englewood East; Kendra Porter of Porter Contracting, Kristina Watts, Business Development officer at Englewood Bank & Trust; Leslie Brown, of the Leslie Brown Team at Keller Williams Realty Gold; and Mark Rennie, president of Englewood Helping Hand in Englewood and John Radkins, Executive Director of Englewood Animal Rescue Sanctuary.
